Role Overview
We are seeking a visionary and experienced Regional Head Start Director to lead our comprehensive early childhood education initiatives across multiple locations. This fully remote position requires a strategic thinker with a passion for advancing educational access and quality for underserved communities. You will be responsible for overseeing program administration, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and driving quality improvement efforts across all Head Start programs in your region.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the expansion and enhancement of Head Start programs in alignment with organizational goals.
- Oversee program operations, including budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation, to ensure effective service delivery and compliance with Head Start performance standards.
- Collaborate with local agencies, community partners, and stakeholders to promote the interests of children and families served by the Head Start programs.
- Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance program effectiveness and outcomes for children and families.
- Monitor and evaluate program performance metrics, using data-driven insights to inform decision-making and strategic adjustments.
- Provide professional development and support for program directors and staff to foster a culture of excellence and accountability.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Administration, Social Work, or a related field.
- 5+ years of management experience in early childhood education or a related field, with a strong understanding of Head Start regulations and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, manage multiple projects, and drive organizational change.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in program evaluation and data analysis.
Preferred:
- Experience working with low-income families and understanding the challenges they face.
- Familiarity with community resources and public/private funding sources available for early childhood education.
- Certification in Early Childhood Education or related credentials.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in data management systems and reporting tools relevant to program administration.
- Ability to utilize software platforms for virtual collaboration and training.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding early childhood education.
