Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Assistant Preschool Director to support our educational programs and help foster a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. You will play a vital role in managing daily operations, supporting staff, and enhancing the overall educational experience for our preschool community.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Preschool Director in the overall management of the preschool, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and standards
- Support curriculum development and implementation, focusing on age-appropriate learning experiences and developmentally appropriate practices
- Provide guidance and support to teaching staff, fostering professional development and teamwork
- Engage with parents and caregivers, addressing concerns and promoting a positive school-home relationship
- Oversee daily operations, including staff scheduling, classroom management, and enrollment processes
- Conduct regular assessments of program effectiveness and implement improvements as needed
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or Administration
- Experience with program evaluation and improvement processes
- Familiarity with state licensing requirements and accreditation processes
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in educational software and tools for tracking student progress and communication
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to preschool settings
