Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Child Welfare Director to support our mission of enhancing the lives of children and families in need. In this strategic role, you will collaborate with the Child Welfare Director to implement policies, oversee program delivery, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while fostering a culture of care and support.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of child welfare policies and programs to ensure the safety and well-being of children in our care.
- Oversee case management processes, ensuring that all cases are handled with a child-centered approach and in compliance with legal standards.
- Collaborate with community partners, stakeholders, and service providers to deliver comprehensive support services to families.
- Monitor program effectiveness and outcomes, utilizing data-driven approaches to inform program improvements and strategies.
- Lead and mentor a team of child welfare professionals, providing guidance and support in case management and decision-making.
- Participate in training initiatives to enhance staff knowledge and skills in child welfare practices and emerging trends.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in child welfare or related social services, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of child welfare laws and regulations, along with a commitment to child advocacy.
Preferred:
- Experience in program development and evaluation within child welfare systems.
- Certification in Child Welfare or related fields.
- Proven ability to engage and collaborate with diverse communities and stakeholders.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in case management software and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with digital communication platforms and remote work technologies.
