Role Overview
We are seeking a visionary Chief Geodetic Surveyor to lead our geospatial initiatives and contribute to the advancement of our innovative surveying projects. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of geodetic survey strategies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards, and managing a team of skilled surveyors and technicians. Your expertise will drive the integration of advanced geospatial technologies to support our mission of delivering high-quality data and insights to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of geodetic survey methodologies, ensuring precision in data collection and analysis.
- Oversee the management of geospatial data and coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate survey results into broader projects.
- Establish and maintain quality control protocols for surveying processes to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Mentor and guide a team of surveyors, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Collaborate with engineering, planning, and environmental teams to provide geospatial insights that inform project decisions.
- Stay abreast of advancements in geospatial technology and assess their applicability to enhance operational efficiency.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Geodesy, Geomatics, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in geodetic surveying, with a strong background in project management.
- Proven track record of leading complex survey projects from inception to completion.
- Deep understanding of geodetic principles, GPS technology, and related software (e.g., AutoCAD, ArcGIS).
Preferred:
- Professional licensing as a Land Surveyor or equivalent certification.
- Experience with remote sensing technologies and geospatial data analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders in a multidisciplinary environment.
