Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Supervisor of Elevator Installation to lead our team in executing complex elevator installation projects. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with safety standards, managing project timelines, and fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork within our organization.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate elevator installation projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to regulations and safety standards.
- Manage a team of installation technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to define project specifications and establish timelines.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance, addressing any issues that arise.
- Ensure that all installation activities are performed within budget constraints and project deadlines.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including installation reports, safety records, and compliance checklists.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and professional development.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in elevator installation or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of elevator systems, codes, and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage diverse teams and complex projects.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to effectively problem-solve and make decisions in high-pressure situations.
Preferred:
- Certification from a recognized elevator installation training program.
- Experience with project management software and tools.
- Familiarity with new technologies or innovations in the elevator industry.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Strong technical acumen related to elevator systems, electrical systems, and mechanical systems.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Experience with safety management systems and quality assurance processes.
