Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Elevator Mechanic Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of elevator systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. You will lead a team of mechanics, providing guidance and training while managing project timelines and resources effectively.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the work of elevator mechanics, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules for elevator systems to maximize uptime and efficiency
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of elevator installations, identifying areas for improvement and compliance with local codes
- Provide technical assistance and support to team members during complex repairs and installations
- Manage inventory and procurement of tools and materials required for elevator maintenance and repair
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs and inspection reports
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in elevator maintenance and repair, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Thorough understanding of elevator systems, including hydraulic, traction, and escalator technologies
- Valid elevator mechanic license and relevant certifications
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards
Preferred:
- Experience with modernization projects and new installations
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for elevator systems
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep understanding of elevator control systems and electronic troubleshooting
- Familiarity with CAD software for elevator design and layout
- Experience with predictive maintenance technologies and IoT in elevator systems
