Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Freight Brake Operator to join our team, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our freight services. You will lead a team of operators, overseeing the setup, maintenance, and operation of braking systems in compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team in the operation and maintenance of freight brake systems, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational efficiency.
- Conduct inspections and diagnostics on braking systems to identify potential issues and implement effective solutions.
- Train and mentor junior operators, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to develop and implement best practices for brake system operations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of brake system performance, maintenance activities, and safety compliance.
- Act as a point of contact for safety audits and regulatory inspections related to freight braking operations.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in freight operations, with a strong focus on braking systems.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and training teams.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards related to freight operations and braking systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
Preferred:
- Certification in brake system operations or relevant technical training.

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in freight braking systems, including pneumatic and hydraulic brakes.
