Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Watch Supervisor to join our team, responsible for overseeing fire watch operations across various sites. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols while maintaining a proactive approach to fire prevention.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate fire watch teams to ensure compliance with safety protocols and standard operating procedures
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential fire hazards and implement corrective actions
- Develop and maintain fire watch logs, documenting all activities and incidents
- Provide training and mentorship to fire watch personnel on safety practices and emergency response protocols
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to plan fire watch schedules around site activities
- Respond to fire alarms and emergencies, ensuring prompt communication with emergency services and site management
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in fire safety, emergency response, or a related field
- Valid certifications in fire watch and safety management
- Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Preferred:
- Experience in industrial or construction environments
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with fire safety monitoring systems and equipment
- Ability to utilize fire safety management software
- Proficiency in creating detailed reports and documentation
