Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety Manager to lead our organization in implementing effective fire prevention strategies and ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing, executing, and managing comprehensive fire safety programs across multiple sites, while also fostering a culture of safety and preparedness.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement fire safety policies and procedures that align with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct thorough fire risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with facility management and emergency response teams to ensure readiness and effective response to fire emergencies.
- Lead training programs for employees on fire safety protocols, emergency evacuation procedures, and the use of fire extinguishing equipment.
- Maintain and update fire safety documentation, including emergency plans and incident reports.
- Monitor compliance with fire safety regulations and standards, performing regular inspections and testing of fire protection systems.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Science, Safety Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in fire safety management or a similar role, with a proven track record of implementing effective fire safety programs.
- Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations and standards such as NFPA, OSHA, and local fire codes.
Preferred:
- Certification as a Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) or similar.
- Experience conducting fire drills and emergency preparedness exercises.
- Proficient in using fire safety management software and related technologies.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in fire safety engineering principles and practices.
- Familiarity with fire protection systems, including alarms, sprinklers, and suppression systems.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools to track fire safety metrics and compliance.
