Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Prevention Supervisor to lead our fire prevention initiatives and ensure the safety of our facilities and personnel. In this role, you will develop and implement fire prevention strategies, conduct risk assessments, and collaborate with various stakeholders to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the implementation of fire prevention policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular fire risk assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.
- Lead training sessions for employees on fire safety protocols and emergency preparedness.
- Coordinate with local fire departments and emergency responders to ensure effective communication and preparedness in case of an emergency.
- Maintain accurate records of fire safety inspections, training sessions, and incidents.
- Monitor and analyze fire incident reports to identify trends and recommend improvements to fire prevention strategies.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in fire prevention, safety management, or a related field.
- Knowledge of fire safety regulations and standards, including NFPA codes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various teams.
Preferred:
- Certification as a Fire Inspector or Fire Protection Specialist.
- Experience in emergency response planning and execution.
- Proficiency in fire safety software and reporting tools.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- In-depth knowledge of fire suppression systems, alarm systems, and emergency response protocols.
- Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and fire safety audit processes.
- Ability to utilize technology for data analysis and reporting of fire safety metrics.
