Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate fire equipment operations, including pumps, hoses, and other suppression tools during emergency incidents
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of fire equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations
- Lead training sessions for team members on the proper use of fire equipment and best practices for emergency response
- Collaborate with local fire departments and emergency services to coordinate response efforts and improve operational effectiveness
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and incident reports
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and equipment to enhance operational capabilities
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in fire operations or a related field, with a proven track record of leadership
- Certification as a Fire Equipment Operator or equivalent qualification
- In-depth knowledge of fire suppression systems, safety protocols, and emergency response procedures
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations
Preferred:
- Experience in a supervisory role within a fire department or emergency services
- Knowledge of advanced fire suppression technologies and equipment
- First Aid and CPR certification
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in the operation and maintenance of fire suppression equipment
- Familiarity with fire safety regulations and compliance standards
