Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Equipment Manager to oversee the procurement, maintenance, and optimization of our equipment fleet. This role is critical in ensuring operational efficiency and maximizing productivity across all projects by implementing best practices in equipment management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute equipment management strategies to ensure optimal utilization and performance of all equipment assets
- Oversee the procurement process for new equipment, ensuring alignment with operational needs and budget constraints
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability
- Analyze equipment performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive cost-effective solutions
- Collaborate with project managers and teams to understand equipment needs and provide timely support
- Train and mentor staff on equipment operation, safety protocols, and maintenance procedures
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in equipment management or a related field, preferably in a construction or manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of equipment maintenance practices and lifecycle management
- Proven track record of optimizing equipment utilization and reducing operational costs
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related discipline
- Experience with heavy machinery and fleet management software
- Certification in equipment management or maintenance is a plus
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in equipment management software and data analysis tools
- Strong knowledge of maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Ability to leverage technology for tracking and reporting on equipment performance
