Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and analytical leader to join us as the Director of Financial Data Analytics. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead our data analytics initiatives to drive financial performance and decision-making across the organization. You will lead a team of data analysts and engineers, leveraging advanced analytics to provide actionable insights that inform business strategy and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive financial analytics strategy that aligns with organizational objectives and drives data-driven decision-making
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of data analysts and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop analytical solutions that provide actionable insights and enhance financial performance
- Oversee the design and implementation of data models and analytics frameworks to streamline financial reporting and forecasting processes
- Utilize advanced statistical methods and machine learning techniques to analyze financial data and derive meaningful insights
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, translating complex data into actionable strategies
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies while promoting data integrity and accuracy
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in financial analytics, data science, or a related field, with a proven track record of leadership
- Master's degree in Finance, Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline
- Expertise in data analysis techniques, statistical modeling, and data visualization tools
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or similar programming languages for data manipulation and analysis
- Experience with financial modeling and forecasting methodologies
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred:
- Experience in a leadership role within a financial services or fintech organization
- Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or cloud-based data platforms
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards in financial data management
- Prior experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep expertise in financial data analytics and statistical modeling techniques
- Proficiency in data visualization tools to create impactful dashboards and reports
- Experience with database management systems and data warehousing solutions
