Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Medical Director (Family Practice) to lead our clinical initiatives and enhance patient care standards across our family practice network. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your medical expertise to drive clinical strategy, policy development, and quality improvement, ensuring that we deliver exceptional healthcare to our communities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee clinical operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in family medicine
- Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical protocols and guidelines to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through the identification of clinical performance metrics and the implementation of quality improvement initiatives
- Provide expert medical guidance to clinical staff, supporting their professional development and enhancing their clinical skills
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including administration, nursing, and allied health professionals, to optimize patient care delivery
- Engage in strategic planning and resource management to align clinical services with organizational goals
- Conduct regular reviews of patient care practices, ensuring adherence to established protocols and safety standards
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- MD or DO degree with board certification in Family Medicine
- 10+ years of clinical experience in family practice, including 5+ years in a leadership role
- Demonstrated expertise in developing clinical policies and quality improvement initiatives
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
Preferred:
- Experience in telemedicine and innovative care delivery models
- Proven track record in managing multi-disciplinary teams and fostering a collaborative work environment
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and data analytics for quality improvement
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep knowledge of family medicine best practices and clinical guidelines
- Experience with healthcare quality improvement frameworks and methodologies
- Proficiency in using EHR systems and telehealth technologies
