Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Family Medicine Resident to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians and healthcare teams.
- Participate in the management of acute and chronic health conditions, ensuring continuity of care across various settings.
- Engage in patient education and counseling to promote health literacy and wellness.
Training and Professional Development:
- Participate in structured training programs, including didactic sessions, workshops, and simulation exercises.
- Stay current with evidence-based practices and guidelines in family medicine.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and research projects to enhance patient care.
- Receive and provide constructive feedback through regular evaluations and mentorship opportunities.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Successful completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) or Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination (COMLEX).
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care and community health.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- Prior clinical experience in primary care settings or family medicine.
- Demonstrated interest in healthcare equity and advocacy for underserved populations.
- Research experience in relevant medical fields.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation tools.
- Ability to utilize telemedicine platforms effectively for remote patient consultations.
- Proficient in using clinical decision support tools and medical databases.
