Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Medical Director for our Family Practice department. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and guiding our medical team in achieving excellent health outcomes within the community. You will play a pivotal role in shaping clinical protocols, implementing best practices, and driving the strategic vision of our family practice.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Family Practice department by providing clinical leadership and oversight to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
- Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and protocols that meet regulatory standards and improve patient outcomes.
- Oversee quality improvement initiatives and monitor clinical performance metrics to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Mentor and support physicians and clinical staff in their professional development, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care delivery and optimize operational efficiencies.
- Engage with community stakeholders and participate in outreach programs to promote health education and wellness initiatives.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in Family Medicine.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in Family Practice, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, quality improvement processes, and patient safety standards.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Experience in developing and implementing clinical programs and initiatives.
- Previous experience in a multi-disciplinary practice or healthcare system.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and data analytics.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in family medicine practices and clinical management.
- Proficiency in utilizing EHR systems for patient management and clinical documentation.
- Understanding of telehealth technologies and their application in patient care.
