Role Overview
We are seeking a highly strategic and experienced Director of Facilities Engineering to lead our innovative facilities engineering initiatives. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and optimization of our facilities infrastructure, ensuring operational excellence and sustainability across our portfolio. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our facilities engineering practices, championing cutting-edge solutions that align with our corporate sustainability goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the facilities engineering strategy, ensuring alignment with overall corporate objectives and sustainability initiatives.
- Oversee the design and implementation of facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and energy management systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to deliver high-quality facilities engineering projects on schedule.
- Foster a culture of innovation by identifying and implementing new technologies and methodologies to enhance facility performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, and safety teams to ensure seamless integration of engineering solutions into facility operations.
- Develop and mentor a high-performing engineering team, promoting professional growth and knowledge sharing.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure facility performance and identify areas for continuous improvement.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in facilities engineering, with a strong emphasis on design and operations management.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale facilities projects from conception to completion.
- In-depth knowledge of building systems, energy efficiency, and sustainability practices.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
Preferred:
- Professional Engineering (PE) license strongly preferred.
- Experience with advanced building technologies and smart building systems.
- Familiarity with LEED certification processes and sustainable design principles.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software for facility layouts.
- Proficiency in project management software and methodologies.
- Strong understanding of energy management systems and building automation technologies.
