Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate ESL Program Coordinator to lead our English as a Second Language (ESL) initiatives. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and evaluating ESL programs that enhance language acquisition and cultural fluency for our diverse student population. You will collaborate closely with educators, students, and community partners to create an inclusive and effective learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive ESL curriculum tailored to meet the needs of diverse learners, ensuring alignment with language acquisition best practices.
- Coordinate and facilitate professional development workshops for ESL educators, promoting the latest methodologies and instructional strategies.
- Monitor and assess program effectiveness through data analysis and feedback, making necessary adjustments to enhance student outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including students, parents, and community organizations, to foster a supportive ESL learning community.
- Oversee program budgets and resources, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization of funds and materials.
- Advocate for ESL students' needs at various levels, ensuring their voices are heard within institutional frameworks.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in ESL program coordination or teaching.
- Strong knowledge of language acquisition theories and ESL instructional strategies.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred:
- Experience working with diverse populations and understanding of cultural nuances in language education.
- Familiarity with educational technology tools to enhance language learning.
- Proficient in additional languages is a plus.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and online teaching platforms.
