Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of English Department to lead our educational initiatives and foster a love for literature and language among students. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive curriculum that meets the diverse needs of our student body while promoting innovative teaching methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the English Department by providing vision, direction, and strategic planning to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Develop and implement a robust English curriculum that aligns with educational standards and engages students in critical thinking and creative expression.
- Foster a collaborative environment by mentoring and supporting faculty in curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment practices.

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in English, Education, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in teaching English at a secondary or post-secondary level.
- Proven leadership experience in an academic setting, with a strong track record of improving student outcomes.
- Deep understanding of curriculum design and instructional best practices.
Preferred:
- Doctorate in English, Education, or a related field.
- Experience with educational technology and innovative teaching practices.
- Familiarity with assessment tools and data analysis to inform instructional decisions.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using digital tools for curriculum development, assessment, and communication.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and educational software.
