Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented ESL Program Coordinator to lead and enhance our English as a Second Language (ESL) programs. In this role, you will be responsible for developing curriculum, coordinating instructional strategies, and fostering an inclusive environment that supports the diverse needs of our learners from various backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evaluate ESL curricula that align with best practices and educational standards
- Coordinate training and professional development for ESL instructors, ensuring they are equipped with effective teaching strategies and resources
- Monitor and assess the progress of ESL students, using data to inform instruction and improve program outcomes
- Facilitate communication between students, instructors, and stakeholders to ensure a cohesive learning environment
- Organize and manage program logistics, including scheduling classes, events, and resource allocation
- Advocate for the needs of ESL learners and promote cultural awareness and sensitivity within the organization
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Linguistics, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in ESL program coordination or a related educational role
- Strong understanding of second language acquisition principles and instructional methodologies
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- Master's degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a related field
- Experience with curriculum development and instructional design
- Familiarity with digital learning platforms and technology integration in education
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in educational technology tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Experience with data analysis tools to assess program effectiveness and student outcomes
- Knowledge of remote teaching methodologies and best practices
