Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Supervisor of Escalator Services to lead our team in ensuring the optimal performance and maintenance of escalator systems. In this critical role, you will oversee service operations, manage technical personnel, and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations while delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate escalator service operations, ensuring timely and effective maintenance and repairs
- Lead a team of technicians, providing guidance and support to achieve operational excellence
- Monitor service schedules and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs)
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of escalator systems to identify potential issues and implement preventive measures
- Manage inventory and procurement of necessary parts and tools for escalator maintenance
- Collaborate with engineering and safety teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Develop training programs for technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge in escalator systems
- Prepare and present reports on service performance metrics and operational efficiencies to senior management
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in escalator service or maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong technical knowledge of escalator systems, including mechanical, electrical, and safety components
- Proven experience in managing teams and coordinating service operations
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and team members
Preferred:
- Experience with escalator systems from various manufacturers
- Certifications related to escalator maintenance or electrical systems
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards in the escalator industry
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using maintenance management software and tools
- Understanding of electrical schematics and mechanical systems
