Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Junior Engine Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will assist in the setup and operation of engine lathes to produce precision components that meet our quality standards. You will be trained to interpret technical drawings and specifications, ensuring the efficient and accurate production of parts while adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup and operation of engine lathes under the guidance of senior operators
- Learn to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality
- Perform routine maintenance on lathes and report any issues to supervisory staff
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and targets
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of machining and manufacturing processes
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment
- Familiarity with engine lathe operation
- Technical coursework or certifications in machining technology
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Basic knowledge of engine lathe machinery
- Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
- Understanding of machining safety practices
