Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Electrocardiogram Technician to join our innovative healthcare team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the production of high-quality electrocardiogram (ECG) tests, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis while leading a team of technicians to maintain our commitment to exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Lead the ECG team, providing guidance, training, and support while fostering a collaborative environment focused on patient-centered care.
- Oversee the administration of ECG tests, ensuring adherence to industry standards and protocols for accuracy and safety.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals and patients to ensure seamless workflow and effective communication regarding test processes and results.
- Analyze ECG readings, identifying abnormalities and collaborating with physicians to determine appropriate follow-up actions.
- Implement quality control measures to maintain the integrity of ECG equipment and test results.
- Continuously evaluate and improve ECG procedures and workflows, integrating feedback from team members and healthcare providers.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrocardiogram Technician with a proven track record of leadership and quality assurance.
- Certification as a Registered ECG Technician (RCET) or equivalent credentials.
- In-depth knowledge of ECG technology, techniques, and best practices.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex ECG data.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a clinical setting.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and data management software.
- Advanced certifications in cardiac monitoring or related fields.
