Role Overview
We are seeking a Chief Electrical Superintendent to lead and oversee our electrical operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and performance. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical projects while fostering a culture of excellence across teams and operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the electrical department, providing guidance and support to ensure project objectives are met within scope and budget
- Develop and implement electrical project plans, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management strategies
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with overall project goals
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to assess compliance with safety protocols and operational standards
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the electrical team, identifying opportunities for process enhancements
- Provide mentorship and development opportunities for junior staff, promoting skill advancement and leadership within the team
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering or construction management, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards, as well as experience with high-voltage systems
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex electrical projects from inception to completion
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification
- Experience with project management software and tools
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in electrical design, installation, and maintenance practices
- Proficient in using electrical modeling software and tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and ETAP
- Familiarity with renewable energy systems and emerging electrical technologies
