Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Electrical Superintendent to join our team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Assist in managing electrical projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets
- Support the Electrical Superintendent in supervising electrical installations, maintenance, and repair work to meet project specifications
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with local codes and safety regulations
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other trades, facilitating effective communication across all parties
- Document project progress and assist in reporting on project status to management
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members and trainees in electrical construction practices
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in electrical construction or related field
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety regulations
- Proven ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience in project management and supervising teams in a construction environment
- Valid electrical license or certification in relevant jurisdiction
Preferred:
- Experience with renewable energy projects or large-scale installations
- Familiarity with construction management software and tools
- OSHA safety certification or equivalent
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in electrical design software and project management tools
- Understanding of SCADA systems, PLCs, and other automation technologies
- Experience with power distribution, lighting, and control systems
