Role Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Chief Electrical Inspector to lead our electrical inspection team. This pivotal role involves ensuring compliance with electrical codes and standards, overseeing inspection processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within our organization. As the Chief Electrical Inspector, you will leverage your extensive knowledge and expertise to guide strategic decisions and mentor junior inspectors.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the electrical inspection team, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure high-quality inspections.
- Establish and enforce inspection protocols and best practices to ensure compliance with national and local electrical codes.
- Conduct thorough inspections of electrical installations and systems, identifying non-conformance issues and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, and project management teams to ensure successful project execution and compliance.
- Develop and implement training programs for inspectors to enhance skills and knowledge of electrical standards.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on inspection results, trends, and recommendations for improvement to senior management.
- Stay updated on changes to electrical codes, standards, and technologies, ensuring the organization remains compliant and competitive.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in electrical inspection or a related field, with a strong understanding of electrical codes and standards.
- Proven leadership skills and experience managing a team of inspectors.
- Valid electrical inspector certification and relevant licenses.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with large-scale electrical projects and complex installations.
- Familiarity with advanced inspection technologies and tools.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other applicable standards.
- Proficiency in using electrical inspection tools and software for report generation and documentation.
- Experience with project management software and collaboration tools.
