Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive General Superintendent to join our team, overseeing large-scale construction projects and ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is instrumental in implementing our strategic vision and fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and excellence across all job sites.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of construction projects, from planning through execution, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure adherence to project timelines and specifications.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to site supervisors and workers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Implement and manage safety programs, conducting training sessions and ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully overseeing large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage diverse teams.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Lean Construction methodologies and project delivery methods.
- Certifications such as OSHA, PMP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep knowledge of construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant productivity tools.
- Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other emerging technologies in construction.
