Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Project Superintendent to support our project management team in overseeing the successful execution of construction projects. This role will be instrumental in facilitating communication between on-site teams and project stakeholders while ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Superintendent in managing daily operations on the job site, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and adherence to project specifications
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work progress and compliance with safety regulations
- Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and the construction team
- Track project milestones and prepare progress reports for senior management
- Support the resolution of any on-site issues or conflicts that may arise during construction
- Assist in maintaining project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and daily logs
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in construction project management or supervision
- Strong understanding of construction processes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field
- Experience with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
- Familiarity with building codes and industry best practices
- OSHA certification or similar safety training
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Solid understanding of construction methodologies and techniques
- Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and construction documentation tools
- Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
