Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Construction Superintendent to join the [$COMPANY_NAME] team. In this role, you will support the Project Superintendent in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that work is performed in accordance with project specifications, timelines, and safety standards. Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Superintendent in planning, coordinating, and supervising construction activities on-site to ensure timely project completion
- Monitor construction progress and performance, addressing issues as they arise to mitigate delays
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards
- Conduct regular site inspections to enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
- Review and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications to effectively communicate project requirements
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress logs, and incident reports
- Facilitate effective communication between all project stakeholders, including the construction team, clients, and architects
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Associate's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in a construction environment, preferably in a supervisory or assistant role
- Knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and safety regulations
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with project management software and scheduling tools (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project)
- OSHA certification or equivalent safety training
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Familiarity with construction management software and tools
- Basic understanding of building codes and construction regulations
Soft Skills and Cultural Fit
