Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Egg Packing Manager to oversee the packing operations for our egg production facility. This role is critical in ensuring that our product meets the highest quality standards while efficiently managing resources and logistics to meet customer demands.
Responsibilities
- Lead and optimize the egg packing process, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
- Manage a remote team of packing staff, providing guidance and support to maintain high performance
- Implement and oversee packing schedules to meet production targets and customer delivery timelines
- Conduct regular assessments of packing operations to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes
- Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of packed products
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to maintain optimal packing materials
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for packing efficiency and quality assurance
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in a production or packing management role, preferably in the food industry
- Strong understanding of quality control processes and safety regulations
- Proven ability to lead and motivate remote teams effectively
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
Preferred:
- Experience with automated packing systems and technology
- Knowledge of egg processing and packaging standards
- Familiarity with supply chain management practices
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software
- Experience with data analysis tools to track performance metrics
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
