Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and dynamic Packing Line Manager to join our operations team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the packing line operations, ensuring optimal efficiency and product quality
- Implement and maintain best practices in packing processes, including standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Monitor production metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and drive performance enhancements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and logistics, to ensure seamless operations
- Train, mentor, and develop packing line staff, fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork
- Conduct regular safety audits and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain to ensure timely availability of packing materials
- Lead initiatives for process optimization and cost reduction without compromising quality
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or packing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong understanding of packing processes, machinery, and quality control standards
- Proven ability to manage teams effectively and drive performance improvements
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Manufacturing, or related field
- Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production scheduling tools
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and inventory management software
- Experience with automated packing machinery and quality inspection systems
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports to inform decision-making
