Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced EDI Architect to join our innovative team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) solutions that streamline our business processes and enhance our supply chain operations. You will leverage your deep technical expertise to architect solutions that integrate seamlessly with various internal and external systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize EDI solutions that meet business requirements while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for EDI integrations.
- Evaluate and select EDI tools and technologies, leading the integration of new systems into existing architectures.
- Monitor and troubleshoot EDI transactions to ensure data accuracy and timely delivery.
- Develop documentation including EDI specifications, mapping documents, and standard operating procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members in EDI best practices and methodologies.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in EDI system architecture and integration.
- Strong knowledge of EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and protocols (AS2, FTP, SFTP).
- Proven experience with EDI mapping tools such as Sterling Integrator, BizTalk, or similar technologies.
- Excellent understanding of data interchange concepts and related software development methodologies.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and develop effective solutions for data exchange.
Preferred:
- Experience with cloud-based EDI solutions and integration with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Knowledge of XML, JSON, and other data interchange formats.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks related to data interchange, such as HIPAA or PCI DSS.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in EDI mapping and translation tools.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python for custom EDI solutions.
- Understanding of database technologies including SQL and NoSQL for data management.
- Experience with API design and integration, particularly RESTful services.
