Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented EDI Manager to join our team, responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems to streamline our supply chain processes. In this role, you will ensure that data exchange between our organization and trading partners is efficient, accurate, and secure, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and reducing costs.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of EDI solutions to support business operations and partner integrations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into EDI specifications.
- Manage EDI mapping and configuration processes, ensuring compliance with relevant standards (e.g., X12, EDIFACT).
- Monitor EDI transactions for accuracy and integrity, troubleshooting any issues that arise promptly.
- Develop and maintain documentation for EDI processes, including mapping specifications, user guides, and process workflows.
- Maintain relationships with external trading partners, facilitating onboarding and ongoing communications.
- Lead training sessions for internal staff on EDI processes and best practices.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in EDI management or a similar role within a supply chain or logistics environment.
- Strong understanding of EDI standards and protocols, including experience with EDI mapping tools.
- Proven track record of managing projects with a focus on process improvement and efficiency.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Experience with EDI software solutions such as Sterling Integrator, Cleo, or similar.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly SAP or Oracle.
- Knowledge of XML, JSON, and related technologies.
- Certification in EDI or related fields is a plus.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in EDI standards including ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and others.
- Proficient in EDI mapping tools and software.
- Experience with data transformation and integration technologies.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or SQL for customization and automation.

- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while fostering team collaboration.
