Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in dog training, with a strong focus on behavioral modification and obedience training.
- Certification from a recognized dog training organization (e.g., CPDT-KA, AKC, or similar).
- In-depth knowledge of canine behavior, body language, and communication.
- Experience working with a variety of breeds and temperaments in both private and group settings.
Preferred:
- Experience in utilizing positive reinforcement techniques and science-based training methodologies.
- Proven ability to mentor junior trainers and educate clients effectively.
- Familiarity with canine health and wellness considerations, including nutrition and physical exercise.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using training tools and technologies, including clickers, harnesses, and remote training collars.
- Ability to analyze and interpret canine behavior through observation and interaction.
- Experience with record-keeping software or training management systems.
