Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage multiple construction sites while effectively leading teams and collaborating with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and implementation of construction projects, managing timelines, resources, and budgets to achieve project goals.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop project specifications, ensuring compliance with local regulations and safety standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, fostering a collaborative project environment.
- Prepare and present project proposals and progress reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project risks and resolve conflicts, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills to keep projects on track.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in construction management or a similar role, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing diverse teams.
Preferred:
- Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar credential.
- Experience with large-scale commercial or residential projects.
- Familiarity with construction management software and tools.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera).
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools.
- Strong understanding of budgeting and financial management in a construction context.
