Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Dietary Manager who is passionate about nutrition and food service management to lead our dietary team in providing exceptional meal services that meet the dietary needs of our residents. In this hybrid role, you will combine strategic planning with hands-on leadership to ensure the highest standards of dietary care are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the dietary department, ensuring compliance with health regulations and quality standards.
- Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of residents while accommodating dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Manage inventory, procurement, and budgeting for food services, striving for cost-effective practices without compromising quality.
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate dietary staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure food safety, sanitation, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to tailor dietary plans and educate residents about nutrition.
- Implement and maintain effective training programs for staff on food safety and dietary practices.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification.
- 3+ years of experience in dietary management or food service operations, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of nutrition principles, dietary regulations, and food safety standards.
Preferred:
- Experience with menu planning and food service software.
- Proven leadership experience in managing diverse teams and improving operational efficiencies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with residents, staff, and healthcare teams.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in dietary management software and tools for menu planning and inventory management.
- Understanding of food safety certifications and compliance requirements.
- Ability to analyze dietary needs and create individualized meal plans.
