Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dietary Manager to lead our culinary and nutrition services team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of dietary services, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations while promoting optimal nutrition and health outcomes for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the dietary department, including menu planning, food preparation, and service delivery
- Supervise and train dietary staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
- Develop and implement nutritional care plans in conjunction with interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing food service and nutrition
- Conduct assessments of residents’ dietary needs and preferences, tailoring services accordingly
- Monitor food safety and sanitation practices to maintain a safe dining environment
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide education on nutrition and dietary management
- Evaluate and improve dietary services based on feedback and best practices
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of dietary regulations and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in menu planning and nutritional assessment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and dietary management software
- Certification in Food Service Management (CFSM) or similar
- Project management experience in dietary or culinary services
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and dietary management systems
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Familiarity with nutrition analysis software
