Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Dietary Manager to oversee and enhance our food service operations. In this pivotal role, you will ensure compliance with nutritional standards and regulations while optimizing meal planning and service delivery to meet the dietary needs of our clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage dietary programs and menus that align with nutritional guidelines and client needs.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding food safety and sanitation.
- Oversee daily food service operations, including staff management, inventory control, and quality assurance.
- Conduct nutritional assessments and collaborate with healthcare professionals to create personalized dietary plans.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of dietary programs and make recommendations for improvements.
- Lead training sessions for food service staff on dietary standards, food safety, and customer service.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Service Management, or a related field.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) or eligibility for RD certification.
- 3+ years of experience in dietary management or food service operations.
- Strong understanding of dietary regulations, food safety standards, and nutrition principles.
Preferred:
- Previous experience managing a dietary department in a healthcare or residential setting.
- Knowledge of software systems for dietary management and meal planning.
- Certification in food safety and sanitation.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in dietary management software and inventory control systems.
- Ability to perform nutritional analysis and meal planning based on dietary needs.
