Role Overview
We are looking for a Junior Credentialing Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the credentialing process for healthcare professionals, ensuring compliance with regulations and facilitating timely onboarding. Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection and verification of credentialing documents from healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate records in our credentialing database and ensure timely updates
- Support the review of applications to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and internal stakeholders to resolve credentialing issues
- Participate in audits and prepare reports on credentialing activities
- Stay informed about changes in healthcare regulations and standards
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience in healthcare administration or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred:
- 1+ years of experience in credentialing or healthcare administration
- Familiarity with credentialing software and databases
- Knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Experience with credentialing software and electronic health records (EHR)
- Proficient in data entry and database management
- Basic understanding of healthcare regulations and standards
