Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Credentialing Manager to lead our credentialing processes at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Oversee the credentialing process for healthcare providers, including initial applications, re-credentialing, and ongoing verification of credentials
- Develop and implement credentialing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and accreditation standards
- Lead and mentor a team of credentialing specialists, promoting professional development and best practices
- Collaborate with provider enrollment and contracting teams to streamline processes and resolve any credentialing-related issues
- Conduct regular audits of credentialing files to ensure accuracy and compliance with all applicable standards
- Serve as a subject matter expert on credentialing issues and provide training to internal stakeholders as needed
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare credentialing, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements
- Proven track record of managing credentialing teams and processes
Preferred:
- Certification from the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) or similar credentialing certification
- Experience with credentialing software solutions and electronic health record systems
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- In-depth knowledge of credentialing standards, regulations, and accreditation processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access for data management and reporting
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance frameworks and risk management principles
