Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Junior Credentialing Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will support the credentialing process for healthcare providers, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. You will work closely with senior coordinators and administrative staff to maintain accurate records and assist in the onboarding of new providers.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection and verification of provider credentials, including education, training, and licensure
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date provider files and databases in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with various departments to gather necessary documentation and information
- Support the processing of applications for initial and re-credentialing
- Respond to inquiries regarding credentialing status and processes from providers and internal stakeholders
- Participate in quality assurance reviews to ensure the accuracy of credentialing data
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in healthcare administration or related field
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
Preferred:
- 1+ years of experience in credentialing or healthcare administration
- Familiarity with credentialing software and databases
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Ability to learn and adapt to new software applications quickly
