Role Overview
As a Clinical Documentation Manager at [$COMPANY_NAME], you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of clinical documentation across our healthcare services. - Conduct regular audits of clinical documentation to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Utilize data analytics to track documentation quality metrics and report findings to senior management
- Mentor and train staff on best practices in clinical documentation and coding
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in clinical documentation improvement or health information management
- Strong knowledge of coding systems (ICD-10, CPT) and regulatory compliance standards
- Proven leadership skills and experience managing teams in a healthcare setting
Preferred:
- Certification as a Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) or equivalent
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical data analytics
- Master's degree in a related field
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in health information management software and EHR systems
- Familiarity with data analytics tools for monitoring documentation quality
