Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Convict Guard to lead our correctional facility operations, ensuring the safety, security, and rehabilitation of inmates. In this role, you will provide visionary leadership, develop innovative security protocols, and foster a culture of respect and accountability among staff and inmates alike. You will be responsible for operational excellence, policy compliance, and maintaining a rehabilitative environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies to ensure the safety and security of the facility and its inhabitants.
- Oversee the daily operations of the correctional facility, ensuring adherence to all regulations and standards.
- Enhance inmate rehabilitation programs while maintaining strict security protocols.
- Lead, mentor, and support a diverse team of correctional officers, fostering a culture of teamwork and professional development.
- Conduct regular assessments of security measures and make adjustments as necessary to improve safety and efficiency.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement and community organizations to promote rehabilitation initiatives and community engagement.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in correctional facility management or law enforcement, with a proven leadership track record.
- Strong understanding of correctional policies, procedures, and rehabilitation practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to fostering a respectful and inclusive environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement security protocols and procedures.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree in criminal justice, public administration, or a related field.
- Experience with community-based rehabilitation programs and restorative justice initiatives.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with correctional management software and technologies.
- Ability to analyze data to inform decisions and improve facility operations.
- Experience in crisis management and emergency response planning.
