Role Overview
We are looking for a Control Systems Engineering Manager to lead our innovative engineering team in designing, developing, and implementing advanced control systems for our cutting-edge products. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background and proven leadership skills to guide the team in delivering high-quality solutions that meet our customers' needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers in the design, development, and optimization of control systems and algorithms.
- Oversee project management, ensuring timely delivery of engineering solutions while adhering to quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, and product management to integrate control systems with overall system architecture.
- Drive innovation by exploring and implementing new technologies and methodologies in control systems engineering.
- Establish and maintain best practices for control system design, testing, and validation processes.
- Provide technical guidance and support for troubleshooting and resolving complex control system issues in production.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in control systems engineering with a proven track record of successful project leadership.
- Strong understanding of control theory, PID control, and modern control strategies.
- Experience with simulation and modeling tools, such as MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent.
- Proficient in programming languages relevant to control systems (e.g., C/C++, Python).
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial automation.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies and agile practices.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance in control systems.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep expertise in control systems design and analysis, including state-space representation and feedback control.
- Proficiency in data analysis and modeling tools to evaluate system performance.
- Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and validation techniques.
