Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Lead Concrete Mixer Driver to join our dynamic team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. In this role, you will be responsible for operating concrete mixer trucks to deliver ready-mix concrete to various construction sites, ensuring timely and accurate delivery while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Operate concrete mixer trucks, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of concrete to job sites
- Coordinate with dispatchers and site managers to confirm delivery schedules and requirements
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards
- Monitor concrete quality during transport and report any discrepancies to the relevant parties
- Train and mentor junior drivers, promoting best practices in safety and operational procedures
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and operational readiness of mixing equipment and vehicles
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience as a concrete mixer driver or in a related field
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in concrete delivery
Preferred:
- Experience in a leadership role or supervisory position
- Familiarity with GPS and other navigation systems for efficient route planning
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in operating concrete mixer trucks and other related equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance
- Experience with load management and concrete mixing processes
