Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Concrete Mixer Truck Driver to join our dynamic team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of concrete from our production facilities to job sites, while leading a team of drivers to ensure high standards of quality and service are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Operate concrete mixer trucks in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Lead and mentor a team of concrete mixer truck drivers, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance and professional development.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and project managers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues that may arise.
- Load and unload concrete as necessary, ensuring the proper handling and delivery of materials to meet project specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and other relevant documentation.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a concrete mixer truck driver, with a strong safety record.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
Preferred:
- Experience in a supervisory or lead role within the concrete or construction industry.
- Knowledge of concrete mixing and delivery processes, including familiarity with concrete specifications and quality control measures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in operating heavy machinery and concrete mixer trucks.
- Familiarity with GPS and routing software to optimize delivery routes.
- Basic mechanical skills for conducting vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
