Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Fleet Supervisor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee the management and optimization of our fleet operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with regulations. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our logistics capabilities while leading a team dedicated to operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily fleet operations, including vehicle scheduling, route optimization, and maintenance coordination to ensure operational efficiency.
- Monitor fleet performance metrics and analyze data to identify areas for improvement, implementing strategies to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding fleet operations and vehicle maintenance.
- Conduct regular inspections of vehicles and equipment, coordinating necessary repairs and maintenance to maintain safety standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of fleet personnel, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics integration and support overall organizational goals.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in fleet management or logistics operations.
- Proven track record of optimizing fleet performance and reducing operational costs.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports to inform decision-making.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Experience with fleet management software and GPS tracking systems.
- Certification in fleet management or related professional development courses.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in fleet management software and tools for tracking vehicle performance and maintenance.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Familiarity with telematics and GPS systems to monitor fleet operations.
