Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Superintendent to lead our Cement Masonry projects. In this influential role, you will oversee and manage all aspects of masonry operations, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your expertise in cement masonry will be critical in coordinating teams, materials, and schedules, driving efficiency and safety on-site.
Responsibilities
- Supervise all phases of cement masonry projects, from initial planning through project completion and handover.
- Manage and coordinate work schedules, ensuring effective allocation of resources and workforce.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Provide mentorship and training to masonry crews, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
- Implement best practices in masonry techniques and encourage continuous improvement within the team.
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports and progress updates.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in cement masonry with a proven track record of successful project management.
- Strong knowledge of masonry techniques, materials, and safety practices.
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Preferred:
- Certification in masonry or construction management.
- Experience with project management software and construction scheduling tools.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using construction management tools and software (e.g., Procore, AutoCAD).
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards and OSHA regulations.
