Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Commissioning Director to lead our commissioning efforts across multiple projects at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Oversee the commissioning process from initiation through completion, ensuring projects meet rigorous standards of quality and performance.
- Develop and implement commissioning plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and budget management.
- Lead and mentor a team of commissioning engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Coordinate with project managers, design teams, and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of commissioning activities within project timelines.
- Conduct thorough inspections and performance tests on all equipment and systems, documenting results and recommending corrective actions as necessary.
- Facilitate training sessions for project personnel and clients on system operations and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations throughout the commissioning process.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in commissioning for large-scale industrial or commercial projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC, fire protection, and building automation systems.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects under tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
- Experience with energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives within commissioning processes.
- Familiarity with relevant commissioning software and tools.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Advanced knowledge of commissioning standards and protocols, such as ASHRAE and LEED.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, including Agile or Lean.
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other digital tools to enhance commissioning workflows.
