Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Supervisor to join our operations team. In this pivotal role, you will manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of our fleet, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance with industry regulations. You will leverage your expertise to develop operational strategies that enhance efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining the highest standards of service.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the fleet operations, including scheduling, maintenance, and logistics to ensure timely delivery and service
- Develop and implement fleet management strategies to optimize vehicle utilization, minimize downtime, and reduce operational costs
- Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations, vehicle maintenance schedules, and industry standards
- Analyze fleet performance metrics and prepare reports to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address challenges and enhance service delivery
- Train, mentor, and supervise fleet staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in fleet management or logistics operations
- Strong knowledge of fleet management software and technologies
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field
- Experience with budgeting and financial management in a fleet environment
- Familiarity with environmental and sustainability practices in fleet operations
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency with fleet management applications and GPS tracking systems
- Knowledge of maintenance management systems and inventory control
- Familiarity with vehicle telematics and data analytics tools
