Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Fleet Driver Supervisor to join our team. In this fully remote position, you will oversee the daily operations of our fleet drivers, ensuring efficient delivery logistics, compliance with safety regulations, and the achievement of performance metrics. Your leadership will play a critical role in optimizing our transportation processes and enhancing driver performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise daily activities of fleet drivers, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and adherence to company policies.
- Monitor driver schedules and routes to enhance efficiency and meet delivery timelines while ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to drivers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Implement and maintain safety protocols and procedures to promote a safe working environment for all drivers.
- Analyze operational data and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance fleet performance.
- Coordinate training programs and onboarding for new drivers to ensure they are equipped with necessary skills and knowledge.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for driver-related inquiries and concerns, resolving issues promptly and effectively.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in fleet management or transportation logistics, including supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety compliance standards.
- Proven ability to analyze performance metrics and develop actionable strategies for improvement.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of drivers.
Preferred:
- Experience with fleet management software and telematics systems.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Certification in transportation or logistics management.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in fleet management software and GPS tracking systems.
- Familiarity with logistics optimization tools and routing software.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
