Role Overview
We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Director of Child Welfare Services to lead our initiatives in promoting the well-being and safety of children across diverse communities. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of child welfare policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and advocating for best practices in service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for child welfare services that align with organizational goals and community needs
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of professionals to ensure effective service delivery and case management
- Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations, government agencies, and stakeholders to enhance service provision
- Monitor and evaluate program performance, implementing improvements based on data-driven insights
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to child welfare
- Advocate for policy changes and resource allocation to support child welfare initiatives
- Conduct training and professional development for staff to enhance service delivery and promote a culture of accountability
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in child welfare services or related social services
- Proven leadership experience in managing teams and driving program outcomes
- In-depth knowledge of child welfare policies, laws, and best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
- Experience in a senior leadership role within a non-profit or public agency
- Familiarity with data analysis and performance measurement frameworks
- Certification in child welfare or related professional credentials
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in case management software and data management systems
- Experience with program evaluation tools and methodologies
- Understanding of legislative processes and advocacy strategies
