Role Overview
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Child Welfare Worker to join our team. In this fully remote role, you will play a critical role in advocating for the well-being of children and families in need, conducting assessments, and implementing tailored intervention plans to ensure safety and stability.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of children's needs and family dynamics to identify risks and protective factors.
- Develop and implement individualized service plans based on comprehensive evaluations, collaborating with families and community resources.
- Monitor and document the progress of families, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Provide support and guidance to families, helping them navigate available services and resources.
- Engage with multidisciplinary teams, including social services, schools, and healthcare providers to advocate for children's best interests.
- Maintain accurate and timely case documentation and reports in accordance with agency policies.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Active licensure in child welfare or related social services.
- 2+ years of experience working in child welfare or family services.
- Strong understanding of child protection laws and ethical standards.
Preferred:
- Experience working with diverse populations and understanding cultural competency.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in case management software and electronic record-keeping systems.
- Ability to utilize virtual communication tools effectively for remote engagement.
- Knowledge of community resources and referral systems.
