Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Daycare Center Manager to oversee the daily operations of our daycare facility. In this role, you will ensure the highest level of care and educational development for children, while managing a team of caregivers and administrative staff. You will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that fosters growth and learning.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the daycare center, including staffing, budgeting, and compliance with state regulations
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs that align with best practices in early childhood education
- Supervise and mentor staff, providing ongoing training and professional development opportunities
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with parents, guardians, and the community
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children, conducting regular safety audits and addressing any concerns promptly
- Oversee the enrollment process and maintain accurate records for all children
- Manage daily operations and logistics, including meal planning and facility maintenance
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in a childcare setting, with at least 1 year in a management role
- Strong understanding of child development principles and state licensing requirements
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Experience with curriculum development and implementation
- First Aid and CPR certification
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with childcare management software and record-keeping systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for administrative tasks
